How Traders Pair Insights With Scanners
Breadth as background context
Breadth summarizes how widely moves are shared. Widely-supported uptrends are often scrutinized differently from narrow, index-led tape—use the gauges here as background when you vet scanner rows yourself.
Prioritise leading sectors
Leadership rotates: some sectors outperform for quarters, others stall. Identify the cohorts labelled strongest on our heatmaps, then open Pre-Breakout Stocks or Breakout Stocks to see whether individual names match the same story the sector chart suggests.
Combine top-down and bottom-up analysis
A strong stock chart inside a weak sector can raise different questions than the same chart inside a leading sector. Swing Edge shows both layers so you can reason about alignment without us pushing a particular position size or trade count.
Narrow breadth vs strong sectors
If breadth weakens while indices hover high, some investors treat that as a structural warning worth studying further. The Bearish Setups page lists downside-model output for additional context—still your decision what to do with positions.
Frequently Asked Questions — NSE Market Overview — Daily Pulse
What does the market overview show?
A consolidated view of the most-tracked daily NSE signals: breadth (how many stocks are participating), Nifty options positioning (OI and PCR), top-level momentum, and sector rotation rank. It's designed as a first-stop morning panel before you open scanners.
How often is the overview updated?
Live market values (OI, prices) refresh through the session; breadth and sector rotation update after each Swing Edge scan completes. The page header shows the last refresh timestamp.
Should I trade based on the overview alone?
No. The overview is context, not a signal. It tells you what kind of market you're operating in — your setup quality, position sizing and timing decisions still come from your own plan and the scanner pages.
